Working meeting
at the invitation of Mr. Teodor Sotirov, Director of the "Exploration, Geological Activities, and Innovation" Directorate at the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH)
On May 14, 2026, at the request of Mr. Teodor Sotirov, Director of the "Exploration, Geological Activities, and Innovation" Directorate at the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), and experts, a working meeting was held with the task leaders of WP 1.3 "ASSESSMENT OF BULGARIA'S POTENTIAL FOR ENERGY RESOURCES NECESSARY FOR THE GREEN TRANSITION"—Assoc. Prof. Nikola Botusharov, Prof. Kristalina Stoykova, and Prof. Irena Kostova. The Program coordinator, Prof. Svetoslav Georgiev, also participated in the meeting. Presentations were given on the results of the first year’s research on tasks 1.3.1. for conventional energy resources, 1.3.2. for unconventional energy resources, and 1.3.3. for coal in Bulgaria. The meeting marks a step toward fruitful cooperation between BEH and Work Package 3 of the National Scientific Program "Critical and Strategic Raw Materials for Green Transition and Sustainable Development"
