Participation in the 16th edition of the Sofia Science Festival
Prof. Svetoslav Georgiev, Ph.D., participated in the key discussion on the topic “The Energy Trilemma: Gas – Nuclear – Wind”
On May 17, Prof. Svetoslav Georgiev, Ph.D., participated in a key discussion on the topic “The Energy Trilemma: Gas – Nuclear – Wind.” The panel discussed the global and Bulgarian energy mix, as well as ways to ensure energy independence in the dynamic geopolitical environment.
Prof. Georgiev presented the activities under the National Scientific Program for Critical and Strategic Raw Materials. The results of this program are directly linked to our country’s energy security through:
- Knowledge of critical raw materials as a key resource for renewable energy capacity;
- Research into Bulgaria’s potential for oil, natural gas, and coal deposits.
